Our festival is about to undergo changes
In 2015, the Town Hall, one of our main venues, may not be available as work may have started to convert it into a dedicated Art Gallery. This work, of course, depends on funding being available to carry out the necessary conversion.
If necessary, an alternative venue or venues will be found to allow the Festival to continue.
Another change that you can expect is to see the character of the event move from being a festival based largely on classic New Orleans and Dixieland Jazz to one which incorporates a Blues element. This change is largely being driven by Dave Dohohoe who wants to see the event become the Kirkcudbright Jazz and Blues Festival, the size of the Blues element yet to be determined.
